In Google Docs, create a document, name it Digital Footprint and follow the directions below.

E. Make a list of sites you visit a lot. These might include social networking sites (Twitter, FaceBook), gaming sites, shopping sites, learning sites.

F. Organize your list into categories and write them onto the footprint, for example, all social networking sites together, all gaming sites together, etc.

G. Save your footprint in your File Space.  Your teacher will discuss all findings with the class.

A.  Homework:  Think about all of the different digital devices you use daily. Your next task is to log your own daily use of all digital media over 4 days which includes at least one weekend day. 

B.  Some examples include:  phone usage, gaming (DS, Playstation, X-Box) playing, surfing the internet, texting and so on.

Instructions for creating a Website: Go to the Weebly site and create an account. After creating an account, you will need to establish a domain. Choose a web name you will remember and that is school appropriate.

1.   Create an Homepage/introduction page about yourself.  This should include information about you, and could include your future goals, career objective, education, interests, and skills. Think of this as a mini-online resume. Title this page “Introduction”

2.   Make a screen shot of Thing 5 quest 2. “Visual Organizer of Digital Footprint” This will be added as a page to your site labeled Digital Footprint.   

3.     Create another page that you will label as a Resource page. This resource page will include the link to your Diigo account, and your Symbaloo account.

4.     Each page should have a different photo or image.

5.     Place a current picture on you home page.

6.     The next page will include the “Avatar image” you created of yourself, and you will label that page “Who Am I Online”

One of the Pages of your Website should be named " 9 Elements of Digital Citizenshp"

These are the base instructions for creating this site. You will check the Blog as needed to find out what pages you will add to your Website.
